Middle East’s Demand for Steel Fabrication is at its
Peak
Prospects for the Middle East’s steel fabrication
industry have never looked this better.with
infrastructure and industrial development placed high on
the agenda of the region’s respective governments,
complemented by stabilized oil prices, spending on new
infrastructure, construction, industrial and oil & gas
projects in the respective GCC Countries are at an all
time high. With this steady flow of new projects,
fabrication yards have been kept busy at full capacity,
trying to meet a constantly increasing market demand for
fabricated steel, currently estimated at 750,000 tons in
the region. This increased activity has in turn led to a
surge in demand for machinery, equipment and consumables
needed by steel fabricators, making the region one of
the fastest growing and lucrative markets for suppliers
of the steel fabrication industry .
An
opportune time to break in… at the same time, the world
wide shortage in steel and cut in steel quota for the
Middle East have made it imperative for steel
fabricators to increase their competitiveness and
efficiency. Accordingly, IRANMETAFO 2010 will give an
opportune time to break in. We are giving all the
fabricators a chance to explore new alternative
products, technologies and a platform to choose new
suppliers, thus giving the fabricators a chance to meet
and implement all the latest technologies to increase
their market.
The
Middle East is an important region for the world steel
trade. A market which attracts surplus steel from most
regions of the world, where there is excess capacity,
the Middle East had until recently benefited from easy
access to non-native supplies. Thus, availability has
been seriously threatened by surging demand in the Far
East and the Local steel Industry has sought to grow in
order to reduce import dependency.
